Yesterday was a truly beautiful day. It was an honor to worship with each one of you as we celebrated the resurrection of our Savior, enjoyed fellowship with one another, and stretch our building to the limits of its seating capacity!
It was obvious God was among us as we experienced His presence in worship and were drawn to surrender our will to Him through the message of “Miranda’s Story.” Such an amazing celebration can leave us waking up on Monday morning wondering, “What now?” How do we continue to walk in the grace we discovered on Easter Sunday?
In the book of Ephesians, we find a prayer the Apostle Paul prayed over a young and enthusiastic church, and I echo his prayer today for each of you as you continue to walk in God’s marvelous grace. Paul prayed:
I keep asking that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the glorious Father, may give you the Spirit of wisdom and revelation, so that you may know Him better. I pray also that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which He has called you, the riches of his glorious inheritance in the saints, and His incomparably great power for us who believe. That power is like the working of His mighty strength, which He exerted in Christ when He raised Him from the dead and seated Him at his right hand in the heavenly realms… (Ephesians 1:17-20 NIV)
Today, as you continue your journey of faith,
- May you know Him better!
- May you know the hope to which He has called you!
- May you know the riches of His inheritance!
- May you know the power of the resurrection!
I’m looking forward to next Sunday!
There is no podcast of the April 4, 2010 Easter Service. (It was a “had to be there” event!)
